Valcor GSM58 – Audio channel with up to 8 users

GSM communicator Valcor GSM58 is a device with a built-in GSM module. It is intended for notification and two-way communication via an audio channel over the GSM network. The device detects network status, GSM signal quality (range) and SIM card status.

The Valcor GSM58 GSM communicator provides two-way communication between people in distress, most often in elevators, with emergency services, elevator support technicians, and others. The communicator installs quickly and sets up extremely quickly and is easy to use. The Valcor GSM58 is applicable in any building with mobile operator coverage and can be used as a communication module to the emergency alarm system of passenger and freight elevators in accordance with the European standard EN81-28:2018, as a voice communication device. It has a trigger input, a lock input and 3 outputs for LED indication – emergency received, voice connection established, GSM range and status. It is possible to send monitor SMS with current status or call monitor stations.

Valcor GSM58 is programmed according to the individual needs of each user (or object) in one of the following ways: by command SMS from the master number; via a free Android smartphone app. The microphone and speaker gain levels are also remotely adjustable.

Working principle:

The GSM 58 is installed in the elevator cabin and connected to the audio module (if there is no one available in the elevator, see the GSM58K kit). A SIM card from a mobile operator is inserted into the communicator. According to the method described in detail in the manual, up to 8 numbers are registered for the GSM communicator to call when the emergency button is pressed in the elevator cabin. If the first phone in the order of ringing does not pick up, the communicator rings the next one, and so on. For the communicator to ring, the button must be held down for 2 seconds. but this time can be changed using the setting described in the manual.

How is it set up?

The communicator is set up by command SMS sent from the master number (the phone number of the owner). Through these SMS, monitoring zones, other user phone numbers and all other settings of which the communicator is capable are set. The in-product manual describes these commands in detail.
We have also developed a free phone application that makes it easy, convenient and understandable for everyone to program, control and receive information about your communicator. Communication between the application and the GSM communicator is carried out by calling and/or SMS.
